Camp Jubilee

Welcome back to our grade 6 and 7 students and many of our staff members that went to Camp Jubilee last week. A huge that you to Mme Erker, Ms. Varshney, Mme van Hemert, Mr. Mok, Ms. Payne, Ms. Leveque, and Cst. Hilliard for all their hard work. Mr. D is truly grateful to have gone with such an amazing team of Camp Leaders.

Picture days

Just a reminder that we will have class and group pictures on Tuesday, April 30 and the school panorama picture on Friday, May 3. Please note that the photography company mentioned that due to some scheduling conflicts on their end, they might need to reschedule one of these dates. We hope that this isn’t the case but we will let you know as soon as possible if it is.

Next School Year

We know that it is still April, but we are already busy looking at numbers for the next school year. If you plan on moving over the summer, the school would like to know as soon as possible.

Parent Appreciation Assembly

Please save the date of Thursday, May 23 when we will have our parent appreciation assembly and official celebration of our new redesigned library.

Family members are welcome to join us at 2:00 p.m. for an assembly in the gym. The assembly portion will be until about 3:00 p.m. where parents are welcome to join us at the library for goodies, treats, and to officially showcase our library.

Track and Field

Track and field for our grades 4-7 students will be on Tuesday, May 7. Please stay tuned for more information. A big thank you to all our teachers who volunteered their time to coach our students.

Community Schools Program

Community Schools Partnership is hosting another fun-filled Play Day on May 17th! The program will run from 9am to 3pm and invites children aged 5 to 12 years old to spend a day with our trained staff playing sports, creating crafts, and learning new games – all while meeting new friends from throughout the district! If you are interested in registering, please return the completed registration forms and exact fees to the main office of your child’s school.
