Thank you for supporting our Remembrance Day Assembly. I am so very proud of the hard work that our teachers and students put forth in preparation for the day.

French Review Letter (Focus groups)

The DG PAC executive tabled their budget for the coming year at the PAC meeting this past Monday. The PAC is pleased to be able to support our school in many ways through the results of our fundraising efforts. This year, the majority of money will be going to finish the library refurbishment that began last year. This will include a large scale mural that should be completed this year. As well, funds will be provided to each of the teachers to be used at their discretion to help augment learning opportunities for our children. We are also supporting special school-wide cultural performances; technology upgrades; new sports equipment for each classroom for recess; a new electric piano and more.

As well, the PAC wanted to share the list of the various fundraisers we will be holding this year.

Neufeld Farms – November and February

Cobs Dough Raising – ongoing
Cobs Hot Cross Buns sale – April
Planters for Mothers Day – May
Family Fun Night – June

We appreciate parents and families supporting these fundraisers where they are able.

Cobs Bread Dough Raiser Program

A reminder that our PAC has signed up for a ‘Dough Raiser Program’ with COBS Bread Scott 72 Centre which enables us to raise money for our school throughout the year! Be sure to mention Devon Gardens Elementary each time you make a purchase at COBS Bread Scott 72 Centre; they will donate 5% of your purchase back to our school.

Our next popcorn day is Nov 16 (bring a loonie) and our next PAC Hot Lunch is Nov 30 (Hot Dogs and Samosas). A huge thank you to the PAC for all their hard work.

This year, grades 6 and 7 students will have the opportunity to go to Camp Jubilee. Our dates are April 24th, 25th, and 26th. We will be hosting a parent info night on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6pm in out library.
