behind the scenes organization and our staff, along with our awesome Grade 7 leaders, did a fabulous job! One of the highlights of the day was the parent/guardian potato sack race! You guys were amazing! On that note, we want to give a special shout out to all our dragon dads, grandfathers and father figures! We hope you’re having a great weekend! Happy Father’s Day and thanks for all you do to support our DG Dragons!
Lost and Found
There are quite a few items in our lost and found and not much time left to claim them! Please encourage your child to come and take a look for any items belonging to them (and/or come on by, yourselves, after school). Unclaimed items will be taken to a donation centre before the end of the school year.
LAST CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS – WE NEED YOU!
Can you Help Keep the School Garden Alive this Summer?
We are still in need of a few more families to help water the garden over the summer. Our school garden boxes and red cedar tree (on the front grass area) is well-used as an outdoor learning space. They do require regular watering, though. While school is in session, teachers and students take care of this. During the summer, though, we need your help. For the past four summers we have had families volunteer to water the garden boxes and cedar tree and we need to do the same, this summer.
We will put together a schedule of volunteers to take turns doing the watering so that it’s a manageable task (many hands make light work). You will have access to water and a hose at the school, and we will show you exactly what needs to be done before the end of the school year.
Thank you to those families who have already signed up. We still need a few more, though.
If you are willing to help out with watering this summer (particularly if you live nearby!), please email Mme Hamilton at hhamilton@deltaschools.ca And, if you’ve helped with this in previous summers, you’re now an expert, so we’d love to have you on the team again this year!
Year Books
The yearbooks have arrived and will soon be sent home with students who have ordered them and will be handed out later this week.

2025-26 School Supply Lists can also be found on our School Website
Please note we have both French and English listed separately.
https://dg.deltasd.bc.ca/school-supplies/
Families can purchase school supplies directly from School Start (per the information above), or use the same list to purchase your supplies wherever you like. Remember, you don’t need to purchase the entire list of new items every year. If your child already has supplies that are in good order from a previous year – please save money and the environment. For example, you don’t need to purchase a new ruler, French-English dictionary, calculator, etc.. every year. If the one(s) from last year are in good condition, use them again! And, your child will not need all their school supplies the first week of school!
2025-26 School Calendar
Our Calendar for next year has now been approved by the Superintendent’s Office and has been added, here, to the school website. Please note, the document you’ll find here is the general list of dates we’re required to submit for approval; it’s a static document. The most useful calendar to you will be this one. It’s updated regularly throughout the school year as things are scheduled, so please check it often (dates for 25-26 will be added here soon!)
