First Day of School
The first day of school for the 2024-25 school year is Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. All new and returning grades 1 – 7 students will be attending school from 8:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Please pack a recess snack and water bottle for your child. Only minimal school supplies are needed on the first day of school (pencil, pencil crayons, etc..). Please do not send all of your child’s school supplies on the first day.
The first full day for students in Grades 1-7 is Wednesday, September 4th. Students will attend from 8:45 – 1:45. A reminder, we dismiss at 1:45 every Wednesday.
Grades 1-7 Students Returning to Devon Gardens (you were here last year)
Please go to your line up area from last year (look for the cone with your last year’s teacher’s name).
Grades 1-7 Students NEW to Devon Gardens
Please look for the “New Students Meet Here” sign, near the gym (front of the school). A staff member will be there to greet you.
Kindergarten
Incoming Kindergarten Students and Families, please meet near (but not in) the undercover area. Look for the”Kindergarten” sign
Kindergarten Gradual Entry
For our new incoming Kindergarten students, please refer to the gradual Kindergarten entry schedule you were provided in June. Kindergarten students do not need to bring all their supplies on the first day of school. Kindergarten families will need to bring the Kindergarten supplies (all labelled with child’s name in print) on their interview day and time.
The gradual entry schedule below gives an overview for all groups (Montessori – Groups 1 & 2, French Immersion – Groups A & B). Please follow the gradual entry schedule specific to your child’s group If you have misplaced your child’s gradual entry schedule, or don’t know your child’s group, please email Ms Labrosse

Please note: Students WILL NOT need their school supplies the first day of school. Teachers will let students know when to bring supplies in.
