Dear DG Families,

Happy 2020!  We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday break and had time to spend with family and loved ones.  We are eager to greet your children back to school on Monday, January 6th and to hear their Christmas break stories.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of you who supported our Christmas Hamper Campaign. It was such an honour to see all the thought and care that went into the items you selected. Again, we know that your care and generosity made a difference.

Homework Club Resumes

Homework club resumes on Tuesday, Jan 7.  Homework club is for students in grades 4- 7 who would like to have the time and space to complete homework in the school library.  This is also a great opportunity for students to get some additional help with their homework (in both French and English) from our EAs, Ms Siekman and Ms Makarenko, who run the Homework Club.   Homework club runs from Tuesday afternoons, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., on a drop in basis.  In order to attend Homework Club, students just need a note in their planner (from their parents) indicating:

• they have permission to attend homework club
• how they will be getting home after homework club

This is a general school email account that is accessible by many at our site.   Please keep this in mind when it comes to confidentiality/privacy.  Should you need to contact one of us directly (eg. your child’s teacher, Mrs. Verma, Mme Greenhalgh, Ms Tee, etc…) please ensure you email that person directly, instead of using the general school email address.
