Dear DG Families,
For the month of February, all of our students created an individual heart scale sharing how we are respectful and kind. All the scales were collected and put together to create this beautiful dragon in our hallway! Thank you to Ms. Chan and Mme Niemi for helping us put the dragon together. Also, a very big thank you to some of the students from Mr. Mok’s class for drawing and colouring the dragon’s head. Well done DG!

March Focus
For March, our focus will be on being open minded. Students will hear announcements and learn about having an open mind.
Early Dismissal Wednesday, March 3
We will have an early dismissal day on Wednesday, March 3 for parent teacher conferences (via Zoom). Primary students will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m. and intermediate students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.
Food and Water
Water Bottles – We have noticed a lot of students coming down to the office to get a cup or a water bottle from us as they have forgotten theirs at home. Please help us by ensuring your child brings sufficient water for the day (minimum, 1 full water bottle).
NO MID DAY LUNCH DROP OFF – Students must also bring their snacks and lunches with them in the morning as lunch drop offs at school will not be permitted. Should a student forget his/her lunch, they will not go hungry. We will have some food supplies on hand for emergencies.
Dogs on School Grounds
We do have some students with phobias towards dogs (even friendly ones). If you are in the position where you must bring your dog with you during pick up and drop off, please keep your dog leashed and pick up after your dog.
Health and Safety Update
In case you missed it, here is the Feb 25th update to families from our superintendent of schools, Mr. Doug Sheppard.
Second Term Report Cards
Second Term CSL report cards will be available for viewing through Parent Connect on Wednesday, March 10th. An email to all parents will be sent out when the report cards are uploaded. Should you need a paper copy of your child’s report card, please email your child’s teacher by Thursday, March 4th.
