Week at a Glance March 7 – 11

Dear DG Families,

 

We want to take this time to wish all of you a wonderful spring break.  Spring break will be from Monday, March 14 until Friday, March 25.  Schools will reopen on Monday, March 28th and we look forward to welcoming your child(ren) back to school at that time.

 

 

Second Term Report Cards

Second Term CSL report cards will be available for viewing through Parent Connect on Wednesday, March 9th.  An email to all parents will be sent out when the report cards are uploaded.

 

 

Lost and Found

We will have our lost and found items out in the undercover area Monday to Thursday next week. Please take a look at the items. Any unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, March 11th.

Semaine de la francophonie

Francophonie week is a yearly event, celebrated during the month of March around the world. It’s an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the French language in all its diversity.
This week, our students will hear fun facts about the sugar shack of Québec and the making of maple syrup. They will also hear French songs  interpreted by various French artists around the francophone world.

 

 

Rapid Tests

Thank you to all the families that made time to come to the school to pick up the COVID rapid tests that have been provided from the Ministry.

If you have not done so, please come to the office to pick up your child’s rapid test. Our office hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We would appreciate you arranging to pick up the test by Friday, March 11th.  Again, an adult will need to come and pick up the test.

 

Nordel and 112th Adult Crossing Guard Position

We are still looking for an adult paid crossing guard for the Nordel and 112th Crossing. This position is half hour before school and half hour after school when school is in session; perfect for a retired person wanting to do something everyday. If you know someone interested in this paid position, please email stee@deltaschools.ca 

Crossing Guard Schedule – Until May, 2022

Please check the crossing guard schedule for when your child is scheduled to be a crossing guard. Reminders to please find someone to take your spot if you are unable to be out for your shift. Many thanks!

Reminder – PAC Fundraisers ongoing throughout the year

Return-it Express

PAC has created a school fundraising account. To participate, simply bring your containers to the depot in sealed, clear bags, and enter the registered phone number, 604-581-6185, into the Express kiosk. You will be prompted to select the number of bags you’re dropping off, the kiosk will automatically print the same number of sticker tags displaying our PACs unique Express account code. Tag each of your bags with a sticker tag and drop the bags off in the designated Express drop-off area to be counted.
