Dear DG Families,
As we enter another week of remote learning, we hope that you are all settling into a new routine of learning from home. We know that our staff have been working hard to continue to connect with all of our families during this time.
Learning at Home Priorities
We are sharing with you the District’s Priorities for Home Learning:
- Connection
- Wellness
- Reading and Listening
- Speaking and Writing
- Numeracy
Our teachers are sending home weekly learning plans on Tuesday morning. We are hoping that parents can help their child(ren) to ensure that they are making plans in order to follow through on completing the school work that is being assigned. Naturally, we understand that there will be families who are juggling other demands and that due dates may be missed. Please continue to email your child’s classroom teacher to discuss specific instances.
Attendance
As part of the learning process, it is important that students and/or families remain connected with our staff. Connection to a member of our staff must occur at least once a week. Connection can be made by submitting an assignment, attending a video conference, talking on the phone, by email etc. We are asking our staff to document these connections with students.
Through the weekly learning plans, we are hoping to ensure that students remain connected and engaged in the learning process.
Are you moving?
At the school level, we are beginning to plan for September 2020.

Yearbook Photos
Our PAC will begin putting together our 2019-2020 yearbook shortly. Should you have photos to submit from school events, field trips, classroom visits etc, please share them with us on this google folder.
