Dragon’s Breath Sept 24 – 28

A huge thank you to all those who came out to our PAC BBQ and our Open House. Thank you to our wonderful PAC for all their hard work.

Our Terry Fox Run on Thursday, Sept 27th at 1:30pm. Students are encouraged to bring a Twoonie for Terry. All funds will go to support the Terry Fox Foundation.

Our Crossing Guard program will start this week. Please remember that even though all our crossing guards have been trained, they are as young as 10 years old and giving directions to adults may be challenging for some of them. All our crossing guards have been trained to ask students and adults to follow traffic safety rules. They will ask adults and students to cross at the designated spots and give directions if they see people doing unsafe actions such as jay-walking. It is expected that adults, students, and drivers of vehicles follow the directions of these crossing guards while they are on duty.

Please remember to pack cutlery for your child if their lunch requires it. The office does not supply cutlery. We do keep a small supply of plastic cutlery in the office for the occasional time a student is missing a spoon or fork, but we are finding that some students are regularly coming to school without the cutlery they need. 

 

If your child is in grades 1-7, please remember to send your child with $8.00 for their student planner.

 

 

 

We are recognizing Orange Shirt Day on Oct 1. Orange Shirt Day is meant to raise awareness of the struggles of Indigenous people throughout history in schools. On this day, staff and students are encouraged to wear orange to school.
